2023 01 17 | Host: Don Miller | Taylor Sheardown Classification Presentation

Today we were honored to have our newest member, Taylor Sheardown, give us a presentation about her background and journey to becoming an Attorney with Davidson Lawyers in Vernon.

Taylor was born and raised in Lumby where she continues to live. Her family have deep roots in the Lumby area, and her parents own the Super A grocery store, a family business going back decades. Taylor was an active child involved in many sports and extracurricular activities. Her favorite was competitive figure skating with the Kelowna Figure Skating Club, and reading.

She graduated from Charles Broom Secondary School and went on to get her Bachelor of Management from UBCO before heading to law school in Vancouver at UBC's Allard School of Law. She graduated in 2021 after summer articling with Davidson Lawyers, and went on to accept an offer there as an Associate after being called to the Bar in May of 2022 where she remains today. Taylor specializes in Corporate / Commercial Law, Real Estate Law, and non-combative Family Law.

Taylor loves most sports but hockey in particular, and is a big fan of the Vancouver Canucks. She spends her free-time crocheting, attending live performances of any kins, and traveling with her significant other of 7 years.

When asked why she joined Rotary, Taylor indicated because of the opportunity to truly have an impact in our community and the stellar reputation Rotary maintains.

It's great to have you among us Taylor. We look forward to getting to know you even better, and what you can do to make us all better in the process.
