For about a decade, Silver Star Rotary has been donating food & labour to host September "Back to School" barbeques for Harwood and Mission Hill Elementary Schools. These events, supported by Community Gaming Grants, help school administrators, teachers and Parent Advisory Councils to attract students and their families for a meet and greet social event. Following two years of Covid restrictions, everyone was very happy to see these events return. Beautiful warm sunny weather was much appreciated, too.
